A tiny town right at the edge of Badlands National Park.
Interior is a handful of homes and businesses just outside the park boundary, a couple of miles from the Ben Reifel Visitor Center at Cedar Pass. It's about as close as you can stay to the Badlands without camping, so sunrise and sunset over the formations are only a few minutes away. The night skies out here are very dark, and on a clear night the Milky Way runs right across them.
About an hour and 15 minutes from Rapid City by car.
